On screen. On stage. In a room.
"How You Do One Thing Is How You Do Everything"
Whether you're on set, speaking to a room full of people or working one-to-one, I believe your job is essentially the same: to be present, curious and connected to the person in front of you.
Work with Steph
Hi! I'm Steph,
I'm an award-wining actor, speaker and coach with over 20 years' experience working across West End, television and film.
After training in Musical Theatre at Arts Ed, I went on to understudy and play many leading roles in the West End, including Mamma Mia!; Billy Elliot; 42nd Street; Mamma Mia! The Party and Wicked.
More recently, I've made the move into television, with credits including Malpractice; The Blame; Grace; I, Jack Wright; Unforgotten; Casualty; Coronation Street; and Hollyoaks.
And somwhere along the way, I realised that everything I love about acting - presence, connections, imagination, listening and trusting your instincts - is just as useful outside the rehearsal room.
From West End to the Screen
Actor
I've spent more than two decades working professionaly as an actor, from the West End stage to television and film.
I trained in Musical Theatre, but my work has increasingly moved towards screen - and I'm absolutely loving it.
I'm particularly drawn to complex, grounded characters and the authority figures I seem to keep finding myself playing.
Speaker
What if your audience isn't thinking about you at all?
Most advice about public speaking starts with nerves.
I'm more interested in what happens when you stop thinking about yourself - and start thinking about the person you're talking to.
After 20+ years as a professional actor, I've learned that presence isn't about performing harder. It's about being more connected.
My workshops are practical, playful and experiential, using the tools actors use every day to help people communicate with greater confidence clarity and impact.
Stop trying to get it right. Start trusting what you already know.
Coach
You don't need to become a different actor
You probably don't need another person telling you how to "do" a self-tape.
You need to trust yourself enough to make a choice.
I work with actors on self-tapes, auditions, confidence and performance - helping you get out of your head, connect with the material and find what is already there.
Less proving. More playing
